i've never seen the leaves that color before, have you i'm feelin good about autumn this year and if the sun would just shine on your hair come noon well, i'd feel even better but you don't wanna try, no you don't wanna try at all you don't wanna try, no you don't wanna try at all as we fall so lemme just take a sip of this before we talk press the bottle to my lips as we walk and we'll love as though its real sometimes i sit and look at this world you and i have made and all i see is destruction and pain but as soon as these chemicals hit my brain i'll be feelin better and i admit a part of me dies every time i see you cry at all but i know theres nothin i can do to stop those tears in your eyes no matter what, they fall so i'mma just take a sip of this before we talk, if thats alright press the bottle to my lips as we walk so much better you'll feel if you take a sip of this before we talk in the moonlight press the bottle to your lips as we walk and we'll love as though its real rollin rollin, forward backward, side to side baby, just kiss me rollin rollin, forward backward cause i can feel my body startin to go numb rollin rollin, forward backward, by and by i know you won't miss me rollin rollin, forward backward oh, you'll be better with whatever i become you can take my mind and take my home take all i own, i would never know these rollin waves, they crash at sea i'm drownin, beggin for your sympathy for shades of venus and mercury appear to be envelopin my woes where love is found as a torch in the ground with barely enough flames to feed these souls and i'm rollin rollin, forward backward, side to side i need you tonight i'm rollin rollin, forward backward and i'm losin you

about

The White Lake is the birth of Hydrangea Benison. In the summer of 2014, Ryan O'Toole brought together a bunch of musician friends to arrange and record an album he wrote with the help of Danny Connolly. The sessions, coined Band Camp, took place in Alex Miller's living room and Ryan's basement (arranging / jamming) and Joe Klaw's basement (recording).

Almost two years later, The White Lake is finally done. Our lineup and sound have changed since the recording, but we feel it is essential to our story. The fact that our band was formed as a result of the album makes it the perfect first record. We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it.

Special shoutout to Joe Klaw, who believed in us and made this entire thing possible. We are forever indebted.
